About La Paz
La Paz is the quiet capital of Baja California Sur, on the Sea of Cortez about two hours north of Cabo. It is known for one thing above all: in season, whale sharks — the largest fish in the sea — feed in the shallow bay just off the city, and you can get in the water alongside them with a guide.
