Is Swimming With Sharks Safe?
- Swimming with sharks does come with a risk, however we follow rigorous protocols, typical of the professional shark and diving industry. These protocols are specifically implemented with tested and reliable safety measures to keep you safe.
How Much Time Will You Wait To See Sharks?
- Once we arrive at the location, the amount of time is quite unpredictable. This may differ based on the ocean and current, wind or other oceanographic variables, as well as the proximity to sharks. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes, but sometimes can take up to a few hours for the sharks to arrive.
Do You Feed The Sharks During The Tour?
- This tour is NOT a shark feeding tour in order to keep shark behavior natural and as relaxed as possible. The chum that is used to attract the sharks is in a “chum box” closed with no free access for the sharks. A liquid mixture of fish oil and fish blood is used to attract pelagic sharks.
Nothing beats the exhilaration of coming face to face with these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. Below is a chart with the different shark species you may see depending on the season, along with water conditions and visibility.
